What is my opinion about Christmas, you will find out among other things in this article.πŸ˜‰

Of course, many Germans also have a Christmas tree. We only have a small one in our apartment. There will be a bigger one once we live in a bigger apartment.

Christmas markets are also very popular with us (okay, we invented them). They open at the end of November and last until Christmas Eve. These markets have festive booths with handmade gifts, ornaments, food and drinks like mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.

And then, of course, Christmas Eve. The presents are already with us on December 24. But this is not about Christmas. On this evening, families usually get together for a special dinner and exchange of gifts. In some regions, it is also customary to attend a church service. Anna and I spend this day as a couple and visit each other’s families on the other two days.

With all of this Christmas time, one thing must not be forgotten…the food.πŸ˜„
Traditional Christmas dishes include roast goose, carp, sausages and various potato and cabbage dishes. Stollen and gingerbread are popular Christmas treats.
